Canadian Weight Loss Challenge

I had the most wonderful phone call last week. CBC Toronto called me.

They saw an article about me in The Eagle online.

I had recently ran the 100 Day Weight Loss Challenge.

Gwen Elliot from CBC stated that she would like me to head up another challenge!
We need to get a group together as soon as possible.

If you could send this email out to everyone you know that would be wonderful. The more people in our group the better.
Go to http://canadianweightlosschallenge.info to sign up for this free event!

BTW,

She had asked me for my weight loss bio. This is what I sent her.

I have been a Registered Nurse over 25 years! I have worked in many different areas of nursing and in different parts of the world, including overseas. Nursing has been very good to me. It is got me to be able to travel and work abroad. It has been very flexible with managing around my families’ schedule. Most importantly though, my nursing career has brought me to this point in my life.

“What’s that?” you may be asking.

That is talking with you. I have found my passion. My most recent nursing position is in mental health. I love the mind. I love learning about it. I love learning about people and how they think. I am all over it if I can learn something and it can make my life better and the lives of those I love.

Recently, I have lost a substantial amount of weight – 65lbs. I feel fabulous. I have never felt so fabulous – both inside and out.

A few years ago I had started an exercise program and it inspired me. Not enough to lose weight but it made me feel somewhat better knowing that I was moving my body a little more. I did not lose one lb.  Obviously, I was still stuffing my face too much!!!!

I remember thinking that I would like to help others lose weight and get healthy in the process.  “Haha!” I laughed to myself. “Look at the way you look! Nobody would take you seriously! You need to get fit and healthy yourself before that would ever happen.”

Now a few years later here I am. I was so sick and tired of feeling sick and tired! I decided to get serious. I put my own process in place. Before I knew it I was dropping weight like nobody’s business. In fact, 44 lbs in 12 weeks! I soon realized that I had a very nice little system in place. A system of not just what I ate and exercised but a system that covered all facets of the weight loss process. It was very exciting to me. This made me think about my thoughts I had had a few years back about helping others with weight loss. I had now done the task at hand – and still working on it by the way.

Side note: About 5 or 6 years ago I lost 30 lbs and immediately put it back on. I got smug.

I started eating like I did before the weight loss. ( I had gone on an extreme diet to lose the weight -  not the best idea!)

I stopped exercising. It was a Recipe for Failure. My mindset was corrupted.

Not this time though. I know what happened and why it went sideways. I will keep my mindset where it needs to be. I continue to follow my system so that I can stay in my skinny jeans!

People all over the place were asking me for help, so my business was born. I decided to get my Health Coach Certification so that I help my clients even more.

Remember: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels! It is so true!

Where am I at right now?

Well, currently I still work as a mental health nurse a few shifts per month to stay abreast the new therapies and behaviours which benefit my clients.

I am very pleased to have created “The 100 Day Weight Loss Challenge”, found at http://100dayweightlosschallenge.com which has been very successful for many clients!

I do private health coaching and group coaching. I love working with my clients who really want to see change in their lives.

I got into triathlons when I was in the process of losing my weight and realized another one of my passions. I am currently training for an Ironman and the Boston Marathon.

Life is good…real good  J

Your focus will become your reality.
Change your mind. Change your body. Transform your life.
